This is a pretty spectacular time to be a fan of craft beer.
The Brewers Association, a trade group concerned with the protection and enrichment of American craft beer, brewers, and home brewing, released a report in June stating that it’s the first time since the 1870s that the United States has more than three thousand active breweries, not even counting the number of breweries-in-planning.
This is fantastic news if you love beer. And if you’re picking up this week’s DigBoston solely because it’s largely a celebration of all things craft suds in our backyard (note: our backyard extends to all of New England), chances are you fall in that category.
So sit back, slip a bottle or can of your preferred style into your favorite koozie–if needs be ignore any asshole that says “Hey, you can’t drink craft beer out of a coozie,” because they hate America–and enjoy this clickable wellspring of wanton craft beer factoids, intel, and opinion from DigBoston‘s Honest Pint columnist Karen Cinpinski, and some of your other friends here at the Dig.
